Santa Barbara's neighborhood deli since 1991
South Coast Deli opened in 1991 and never became anything other than what it is: a local, independent sandwich shop run by people who live here. No franchise, no commissary, no shortcuts on the parts that matter.
We slow-roast our own chicken, tri-tip and pork. We make the sauces and dressings from scratch — basil mayo, garlic-tabasco, chipotle, horseradish, the garlic dressing people ask us to bottle. Then we build sandwiches that are honestly a little too big.
Santa Barbara Independent readers have voted us Best of Santa Barbara® for more than twenty years. That's the review we care about, because it comes from the same people standing in line at noon.
Today there are four delis — San Roque, Patterson in Goleta, Carrillo downtown, and our newest shop in the Funk Zone.
